Rep. Bryan Cutler testified before the House Agricultural and Rural Affairs Committee about legislation he has authored, House Bill 1788 to require the Commonwealth to share the financial commitment of the state’s Clean and Green program.

Cutler, a member of the House Health and Human Services Committee, listens to testimony from the Pennsylvania Department of Health regarding its plans to combat the H1N1 virus, or swine flu. The department expects the first round of vaccines to be available to the public in mid-October and is encouraging people to stay home if they have flu-like symptoms, and to practice courteous coughing and sneezing.

On April 23, the House Health and Human Services Committee, chaired by Rep. Cutler, heard testimony from ALS advocates looking to receive state funding for ALS-related services.  ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease is a debilitating fatal illness that progressively robs its victims of the ability to move and eventually speak.

On April 21, Rep. Cutler participated in the Fourth Annual Right to Keep and Bear Arms Rally in the Capitol Rotunda held to bring attention to the Second Amendment rights of Americans.  Pictured from left are rally participants Larry Pratt, executive director of Guns Owners of America; Stephen Halbrook, Second Amendment attorney; Marinelle Thompson, founder of Second Amendment Sisters; John Sigler, president of the National Rifle Association; Rep. Sam Rohrer (R-Berks); Cutler; and Kim Stolfer, chairman of Firearms Owners Against Crime.

On April 9, Rep. Cutler hosted an ice cream social at the Quarryville Fire Company to meet with residents of the 100th District and discuss state and local matters over a dish of refreshing Turkey Hill ice cream.
