Cutler and Miller Invite Residents to Free Concealed Carry Seminar
HARRISBURG – Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-Peach Bottom) and Rep. Brett Miller (R-East Hempfield) are hosting a concealed carry seminar that residents may attend at no charge. The seminar will be held on Tuesday, April 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Blue Rock Fire Rescue (South Station), 3079 River Road, in Conestoga.
During the seminar, residents will learn about Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws and how the Castle Doctrine affects the rights of a gun owner.
“There can be a lot of misconceptions about Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws. The purpose of this class is to give people the facts about the laws, and explain their rights and responsibilities,” Miller said. “We will have a great lineup of very knowledgeable speakers, and there will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions.”
The seminar will offer two main topics. Mark D. Fetterman, assistant district attorney with the Lancaster County District Attorney’s office and Lancaster County Sheriff Mark Reese will provide an update on concealed carry laws. Southern Regional Police Chief John Fiorill and Sgt. Gary Gardner of the Manor Township Police Department will present on how to safely interact with the police while carrying.
“Responsible gun ownership isn’t just about knowing how to use the gun and locking it up when not in use. It also means staying informed on current laws and how to best protect both the gun owner and everyone else,” Cutler said. “This seminar, with all of the practical information that will be shared, is an opportunity not to be missed for all responsible gun owners.”
While there is no cost to attend the seminar, residents must RSVP to attend. Space is limited, so residents who wish to attend are encouraged to visit Cutler’s website at or Miller’s website at to sign up now. Residents who do not have access to a computer may sign up by calling Cutler’s district office at (717) 284-1965 or Miller’s district office at (717) 295-5050.
