Cutler Announces Major Funding Secured for 100th District

HARRISBURG – Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-Peach Bottom) today announced that projects across the 100th District have been awarded funding through the Pennsylvania Local Share Account (LSA) program.

The projects in question receiving LSA funding are as follows:

	-	Fulton Township will receive $250,000 to help the Wakefield Ambulance Association purchase two new ambulance/medical vehicles and their uplifts. WAA intends to strengthen the community’s emergency medical response by acquiring two critical vehicles: a transport-capable, advanced life support (ALS) ambulance and a non-transport ALS response vehicle. The transport ALS ambulance will enhance the associations capacity to safely move critically ill or injured patients to definitive care, while the non-transport ALS vehicle will allow rapid deployment of paramedics and advanced equipment to emergency scenes, even when transport units are occupied. The vehicles will be upfitted with life-saving medical equipment, including two cardiac monitors, two ventilators, infusion pumps, mechanical CPR devices, airway management equipment such as video laryngoscopes and intraosseous devices and patient transport equipment like a stretcher, stair chair, and suction units.
	-	Little Britain Township will receive $250,000 to purchase a new ambulance to be used in the township. The project will include the purchase and upfitting of a transport-capable, advanced life support (ALS) ambulance. The transport ALS ambulance will enhance the capacity to safely move critically ill or injured patients to definitive care.
	-	Martic Township will receive $50,000 to purchase a new squad truck and appropriate upfits for the Rawlinsville Fire Co. The upfitting will consist of necessary lights, paint, communications, and firefighting equipment to meet operational standards.
	-	Providence Township will receive $475,000 to rehabilitate the tunnel that carries the Enola Low Grade Trail over PA. 272. The structure, built in 1903 and reconstructed in 1918, is a stone masonry arch bridge with concrete extensions at both entrances. It serves as a critical link in the 29-mile Enola Low Grade Trail, the longest rail trail in Lancaster County, which promotes outdoor recreation, regional connectivity, and heritage tourism. The proposed project will preserve the tunnel's structural integrity, enhance public safety, and ensure continued access to this vital recreational corridor.
	-	Quarryville Borough Authority will receive $300,000 to replace all the water meters in Quarryville Borough. Due to the age of the meters, they can be inaccurate in calculating water consumption, which can cause the borough authority to inaccurately bill customers. Additionally, the meters make it difficult to detect leaks during unexpected consumption spikes.
	-	Salisbury Township will receive $436,000 to replace the Smyrna Road Bridge. The Smyrna Road Bridge over Houston Run is deficient and currently operates with weight limit restrictions and a single lane with stop signs. The proposed work consists of replacing the bridge with a new structure of concrete spread box beams and a composite concrete deck, which will be supported by new concrete abutments and wingwalls with spread footings and paving. The proposed project will address the deficiencies listed in the inspection report, remove all weight limits, restore two-lane traffic, and improve the bridge’s structural rating to excellent for both superstructure and substructure.

The PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71) provides for the distribution of gaming revenues through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to support projects in the public interest within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for these grants through the LSA program.
