HARRISBURG –House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler (R-Peach Bottom) announced that the Commonwealth Financing Authority has awarded $292,827 to Quarryville Borough through the Multimodal Transportation Fund to replace the East 2nd Street Bridge.

“As our community continues to grow and meet the needs of our friends and neighbors, addressing projects like this becomes more of a necessary priority,” Cutler said. “I was proud to advocate on behalf of the borough to help secure this funding so the East 2nd street bridge replacement could be addressed as quickly as possible.”

The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the Commonwealth.

“Quarryville Borough has partnered with municipalities throughout the southern end of our county to develop a comprehensive plan for our region’s future,” Cutler added. “The plan sets forth bold and innovative ideas to help our region effectively grow while keeping a firm grasp of our agricultural roots. Addressing projects like this now will help the plan to be more effective in the future.”
