Pennsylvania’s House Speaker Issues Statement on Troopers’ Deaths
March 21, 2022
HARRISBURG – Following the accident in Philadelphia that killed three people, including two Pennsylvania State Troopers, Speaker of the House Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) issued the following statement:
“As we learn more about the events that lead to the senseless loss of three lives this morning, I pray for comfort and healing for all the families involved.
“I am also reminded of the selflessness and commitment with which our state troopers serve each and every hour of the day. These men were doing their duty to try and protect someone else, and in the process put themselves in harm’s way.
“I sincerely thank them for their service to our Commonwealth and want to express my heartfelt gratitude to every trooper and first responder who is willing to put their own lives on the line to protect ours.”
